Fire Pit Meals to Bring Back the Flame

The clocks are changing, the evenings are lighter — and it’s time to bring the fire pit back to life.

These cook-anywhere meals are ideal for early spring grilling, backyard snacking or weekend chill-outs.

No smoker required. Just flame, a few bold rubs, and something tasty to throw over the heat.

🍖 1. Al Pastor Pork Skewers

Thin-cut pork shoulder or belly rubbed with Al Pastor, then skewered and grilled over open flame.

Finish with a squeeze of lime and sprinkle of fresh coriander for taco-style flavour straight from the fire. Shove it on a skewer in between pineapple if you feel fancy.

🥔 2. SPG Foil-Wrapped Baby Potatoes

Toss baby potatoes with oil and SPG, then wrap in foil and cook in the coals.

Flip once while cooking. Serve with sour cream, garlic butter, or a pinch of flake salt.

🌮 3. Spitfire Corn Riblets

Slice corn on the cob lengthways into “ribs,” rub with oil and Spitfire.

Grill directly until charred, then finish with crumbled feta, lime juice, or spicy mayo.

🧀 4. Mojo Flatbreads with Grilled Cheese

Warm flatbreads directly on the grate or plancha. Brush with garlic oil and Miami Mojo.

Add slices of halloumi or mozzarella. Toast until soft and gooey. Optional: a drizzle of chilli honey.

🍗 5. Chipotle Cowboy Chicken Thighs

Marinate boneless chicken thighs in oil and Chipotle Cowboy. Grill directly over flame or on a plancha.

Slice and serve in wraps or with slaw for an easy fire-cooked feast.
