If we choose to use your content, we’ll send you a reward link or code by email so you can claim a Smokey Rebel product reward. Permission on its own doesn’t guarantee that content will be selected or used.

Where practical we may credit your name or social handle, but we can’t guarantee attribution every time.

The short version above explains the idea. These are the terms that apply when you submit the permission form.

1. What “Smokey Rebel Content” means

“Smokey Rebel Content” means original photos, videos, social media posts, Reels, Stories, captions or other creative content that you create and make publicly available, or send directly to Smokey Rebel, and which features, uses, depicts, reviews, mentions, tags or otherwise clearly relates to Smokey Rebel or Smokey Rebel products.

It includes relevant content you created before submitting this form and relevant content you create afterwards. It does not include content that is unrelated to Smokey Rebel.

2. Your ownership and rights

You retain ownership of your Smokey Rebel Content. This permission only applies to rights that you are entitled to grant.

Where other identifiable adults appear in content, you confirm that you have any permissions reasonably necessary for the use described here. Content featuring an identifiable person under 18 should only be used after separate parent or legal guardian permission has been obtained.

3. Ongoing permission you give Smokey Rebel

From the date you submit this form, you grant Smokey Rebel Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, communicate, promote and otherwise use your Smokey Rebel Content in connection with Smokey Rebel, our products and our marketing.

This permission covers relevant content already created and relevant content created in future. It continues until you withdraw it as explained in section 10 below.

4. Where we may use it

We may use Smokey Rebel Content across organic social media, paid advertising, websites, ecommerce, landing pages, email, digital advertising, video advertising, printed advertising, brochures, catalogues, direct marketing, retail displays, point of sale, trade materials, product packaging and inserts, events, exhibitions, presentations, PR and promotional communications, as well as new or successor formats used for substantially similar marketing purposes.

We may provide content to agencies, production partners, advertising platforms, printers and other service providers where needed to create, deliver or distribute Smokey Rebel marketing on our behalf.

5. Editing the content

Smokey Rebel may crop, resize, reformat, colour-correct, subtitle, caption, shorten or otherwise edit content for different formats. We may combine it with our own branding, graphics, text, music, voiceover, footage or other creative material.

We will not knowingly edit content in a way that materially misrepresents you or what originally happened.

This permission does not include creating a synthetic version of your appearance, cloning your voice or creating a materially altered AI-generated representation of you unless that is separately agreed with you.

6. Music and third-party material

Your permission cannot give us rights that you do not own or control. If content contains music, audio, artwork, logos, footage or other third-party material, we may remove, mute, replace, crop or otherwise exclude that material where required before using the content.

7. Commercial use, rewards and compensation

Your Smokey Rebel Content may be used to advertise and promote Smokey Rebel and our products, including organic marketing and paid commercial advertising.

Giving permission does not itself guarantee that we will use your content or that a reward will be provided. If Smokey Rebel chooses to use your content, we will send you a reward link or code by email to claim a Smokey Rebel product reward. The available reward and any applicable claim or delivery conditions will be shown when you receive the reward link or code.

Unless separately agreed with you in writing, no cash payment or royalties are due for our use of your content.

8. Attribution

We may credit you by name or social media handle where appropriate. Attribution cannot be guaranteed and is not a condition of this licence.

9. No obligation to use your content

Giving us permission does not require Smokey Rebel to publish or use any of your content. We may decide when, where and whether to use it.

10. Withdrawing permission

You can withdraw this permission at any time, for any reason, and without having to explain why by emailing hello@smokeyrebel.com.

You can withdraw permission for all future use of your Smokey Rebel Content, or ask us not to use a particular piece of content.

Once we receive your request, we will stop making new uses of the affected content and will remove or discontinue active digital uses that we reasonably can as soon as reasonably practicable. Withdrawal does not undo uses that took place before your request, and we may be unable to recall printed materials, packaging, physical retail materials or other content already produced, distributed or published.

11. Personal information

We use the personal information provided through this form to record and manage your permission, identify your content, contact you where necessary, send a reward if we use your content, administer withdrawal requests and provide attribution where applicable. We handle that information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Submitting this form does not subscribe you to Smokey Rebel marketing.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute relating to these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
