These Greek Odyssey Lamb Koftas are packed with seasoned lamb and cooked until lightly charred and tender. Ideal for wraps, platters or BBQ spreads.

Greek Odyssey Lamb Koftas

Ingredients

  • 500g lamb mince (15–20% fat)

  • 1½ tbsp Greek Odyssey seasoning

  • 1 small red onion, finely grated

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Wooden or metal skewers

Directions

    1. Gather all of your ingredients before you start cooking.

    1. In a large bowl, combine lamb mince, Greek Odyssey seasoning, grated onion, garlic and parsley.

    2. Mix gently until just combined.

    3. Divide into equal portions and shape around skewers into long sausage shapes.

    4. Chill for 20–30 minutes to firm up.

    1. Preheat BBQ to medium-high.

    2. Oil the grates lightly.

    3. Grill koftas for 8–10 minutes, turning regularly until evenly charred and cooked through.

    1. Preheat oven to 200°C.

    2. Place koftas on a lined tray or wire rack.

    3. Roast for 12–15 minutes, turning once halfway through.

    1. The outside should be lightly charred with golden brown edges. The centre should be juicy and fully cooked with no pink remaining. Internal temperature should reach 70°C.

    1. Serve in warm flatbreads with tzatziki, sliced red onion and tomato. Also works as part of a Greek platter with lemon potatoes and salad.
