Rub: Hickory Hog

• Score the pork belly skin with a sharp knife (don’t cut into the meat)
• Rub generously with Hickory Hog
• Place on a rack over a tray filled with apple juice or cider

🥔 BBQ Roasted Potatoes & Corn

Rub: SPG or Miami Mojo

• Toss baby potatoes and corn ribs (cut from halved cobs) in olive oil and seasoning
• Spread out on a tray — don’t overcrowd
• Roast at 200°C for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through

Result: Golden BBQ-style potatoes and charred corn, perfect with roast chicken or grilled veg. The SPG gives a savoury crust, while Miami Mojo adds citrus zing.

❓ FAQs – BBQ Recipes for Oven

Can you really make BBQ-style food in the oven?
Yes! While you won’t get wood smoke, you can still build deep flavour with quality rubs and proper technique — like slow roasting and finishing at high heat.

What’s the best rub for oven-roasted chicken?
We recommend Chipotle Cowboy for smoky, citrusy heat. It crisps up beautifully and adds loads of flavour.

Do I need to marinate meat first?
Nope! Our rubs are packed with flavour. Just apply them 10–30 minutes before cooking — or longer if you have time.

How can I get crispy skin in the oven?
Use high heat (200°C+), place meat on a rack for airflow, and finish under the grill for a final crisp.

Are these rubs suitable for vegetarians?
Yes — all our rubs are meat-free and fantastic on veg. Try Miami Mojo on corn, or SPG on roasted mushrooms and potatoes.
